Ranch Equipment, Firearms, Antiques, Trailers, and Small Companies: What AppraiseItNow Values in Wyoming for Probate, Divorce, Bankruptcy, and Title Bonds

AppraiseItNow appraises firearms, antiques, saddles, vehicles, and equipment for the inventory a Wyoming personal representative must return to the court within 120 days of appointment. Wyoming's inheritance tax equals a federal credit that no longer exists, so nothing is owed to the state and one set of date-of-death values serves probate, Form 706 where the estate is large enough, and the heirs' basis. We also value ranch, oilfield, and mining equipment for lending and for the listing owners give the county assessor by March 1, assessed to whoever owned it on January 1, and trailers and trucks that need a value for a bonded title. Divorce work follows the statute's just and equitable standard, and bankruptcy schedules need the same supportable numbers.

Most reports are completed online from photographs and documents you upload; onsite inspection is available from Jackson Hole to the Powder River Basin for ranch equipment, full-house estates, and collections where condition drives value. Fees are fixed and quoted before work begins, and if the 120-day inventory or the March 1 listing is already running, we confirm up front whether we can meet it. We do not appraise real estate; for a ranch, home, or commercial building we refer you to a state-licensed real estate appraiser.

Across 80+ published AppraiseItNow reviews the picture is consistent: every one is from a client who paid us for an appraisal, and the three things they raise most often are that they would hire us again, how quickly we answer, and how much research is visible in the report.

  • My daughter had purchased a very collectible 2003 Mustang Cobra terminator just 3 months before her accident with 50,000 miles on it, for 30,000 dollars. We were experiencing some very heavy rains and she hydroplaned and smashed into a guard rail and totaled her car. The insurance company offered her $18,000, but we told them that was an insult to this car. We kept going round and round with them but they were not budging. Finally we googled an independent appraiser and found AppraiseItNow! Their appraised value was 26,462. They negotiated with the insurance for us and we ended up with 25,900. They were awesome and helped us get much closer to the appropriate value of the Cobra. Absolutely worth the price we paid. Highly recommended!

    Car Appraisal for Insurance Claim

  • AppraiseItNow Inc. is the best company I was lucky to find by accident. I was looking for someone to appraise cabinets for a donation to charity. I asked for multiple referrals, called multiple appraisal services, etc., and no one could help me. I found AppraiseItNow and from the moment I started working with them, they were wonderful! Joe guided me on what I needed to send him, what needed to be done and stayed in touch with me the entire time. Their customer service is OUTSTANDING and a welcome surprise in today’s world where good customer service is an anomaly! They returned an appraisal in a timely manner, it was clear, concise, cost-effective and exactly what I needed. They followed up with me multiple times to ensure that I received it and everything was OK. My CPA is also thrilled to have them as an accredited appraisal service he can use for other clients. I rarely leave reviews, but I could not pass giving them 5 stars and I’d give 10 if possible! THANK YOU JOE AND ALL AT APPRAISEITNOW!!👊🏼

  • I've dealt with several appraisers, and this was my first time using AppraiseItNow. They were by far the best. They did a great job. Their process was honest, efficient, and very detailed. Their staff was highly credentialed, and they provided IRS-compliant guidelines in their evaluation process, which was exactly what we were looking for. Their customer service also had prompt response times and was a pleasure to work with. If I need this service again, I won't go anywhere else.

Personal Property Appraisal for Charitable Donation

  • My wife and I purchased a property that included a double-wide mobile home, which we decided to donate to a local charitable organization that provides housing for low-income families. This type of donation required a formal appraisal to qualify for an IRS tax deduction, so we reached out to Appraise It Now. From the start, they were able to clearly answer all of our questions about both the appraisal process and the tax deduction requirements. We provided photos and additional details, and within 10 days we received a thorough, well-prepared report that included all the necessary IRS forms. I’m giving Appraise It Now a five-star review because communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Everyone I spoke with was helpful, friendly, and professional, and emails were always answered quickly. We were completely satisfied with the experience. Thank you!

Mobile Home Appraisal for Charitable Donation

  • I recommend AppraiseItNow Inc. highly. I needed an appraisal of fair market value for geologic laboratory equipment for charitable donations to three universities. The unique items and limited secondary market complicated the valuation. They provided a sound, verifiable estimate and the 8283 forms that I was able to use in my tax filings. I would use them again.

Wyoming FAQ

What happens if a Wyoming probate inventory is late?

The personal representative must show the court good cause for the delay, and the court decides whether to allow more time. Under W.S. 2-7-403, failing to comply in good faith with the 120-day limit is contempt of court, with any fine paid into the estate itself. Ordering appraisals early, before the assets are scattered among heirs, is the practical way to avoid that conversation.

What if business personal property is not listed with the Wyoming assessor by March 1?

The assessor issues an assessment from the best information available, unless a written extension was granted. W.S. 39-13-103 assesses all taxable property in the name of whoever owned it on January 1, so a listing with supportable values, filed on time, is the owner's only real control over the number.
