Joe Kattan
Joe Kattan is the current owner and Chief Executive Officer of AppraiseItNow, an online USPAP-compliant appraisal company. Joe was a minority owner in AppraiseItNow since January of 2023 before acquiring the business from its founder in November of 2024.
Since it's acquisition in 2024, Joe has grown AppraiseItNow multiple times over by expanding the company's network of appraisers, capabilities, marketing efforts, and implementation of various AI and automation systems to improve the business's capacity to handle clients and their expansive legal and tax needs.
Joe's professional background sits at the intersection of technology and professional services. Prior to taking the full-time leap to run AppraiseItNow, Joe worked at leading consulting firm Bain & Company to help large enterprises and private equity firms make strategic decisions and grow their businesses. This experience has provided the professionalism and client-oriented approach he brings to clients of AppraiseItNow every day.
Additionally, he spent a few years of his career advising and working with smaller services businesses on their workflow and automation development, much of which he applies in his day-to-day role leading AppraiseItNow.
Joe was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and lives on the Upper East Side of NYC with his wife and son.
Ashley Innes
Ashley Innes (née Crawford) is an experienced Asian art specialist and provenance researcher, and the founder of Ashley Asian Art, a boutique appraisal practice. In addition to her specialized focus in Asian art—including Buddhist antiquities, ceramics, Indian miniature paintings, and musical instruments—Ashley serves as a generalist personal property appraiser with AppraiseItNow, regularly valuing memorabilia, antiques, fine art, furniture, decorative arts, and virtually all categories of tangible personal property.
Ashley is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA AM), reflecting her adherence to the highest professional, ethical, and methodological standards in the appraisal profession.
Originally from San Francisco, Ashley now divides her time between the United States and London, bringing an international perspective to her appraisal work. She holds two degrees in Asian art history from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, both earned with high distinction, and previously completed degrees in musicology at Scripps College and Christ Church, University of Oxford.
Ashley plays an active leadership role within the appraisal profession, currently serving as Chair of the International Society of Appraisers’ Antiques, Furniture, and Decorative Arts Committee (AFDA) and as a member of the ISA Conference Committee.
Through her personal property appraisal work at AppraiseItNow, Ashley delivers high-quality, USPAP-compliant appraisals for a wide range of intended uses, including charitable donations, estate and trust matters, insurance coverage, and other legal and tax-related needs. Her work emphasizes careful research, sound methodology, and clear, defensible reporting tailored to the needs of collectors, fiduciaries, attorneys, and institutions.
