AppraiseItNow Appraises Machinery, Vehicles, Estate Contents, and Businesses in Kansas for Renditions, Total Loss Claims, Probate, and Divorce

AppraiseItNow appraises the machinery and equipment Kansas businesses list on the personal property rendition by March 15, the vehicle in a total loss or diminished value dispute, the antique artwork and household contents in an estate, and the closely held company a divorce court has to divide in a just and reasonable way. Kansas has had no estate tax for deaths on or after January 1, 2010 and no inheritance tax, so a date-of-death appraisal here serves the probate court, the federal return where one is required, and the heirs' basis. Equipment assignments here run from Wichita aircraft-plant machine tools to combines, and the constitutional tax formula for that machinery, retail cost new less seven-year depreciation with a 20 percent floor, rarely matches the market.

Most reports are prepared online from photographs and documents you upload; onsite inspection is available statewide for plant floors, farm equipment lines, and full-house estates where condition drives value. Fees are fixed and quoted before work begins, and when a rendition date, an appeal, or a court date is set, we confirm up front whether we can meet it. We do not appraise real estate; for a home, farmland, or commercial building we refer you to a state-licensed real estate appraiser.

  • My daughter had purchased a very collectible 2003 Mustang Cobra terminator just 3 months before her accident with 50,000 miles on it, for 30,000 dollars. We were experiencing some very heavy rains and she hydroplaned and smashed into a guard rail and totaled her car. The insurance company offered her $18,000, but we told them that was an insult to this car. We kept going round and round with them but they were not budging. Finally we googled an independent appraiser and found AppraiseItNow! Their appraised value was 26,462. They negotiated with the insurance for us and we ended up with 25,900. They were awesome and helped us get much closer to the appropriate value of the Cobra. Absolutely worth the price we paid. Highly recommended!

    Car Appraisal for Insurance Claim

  • AppraiseItNow Inc. is the best company I was lucky to find by accident. I was looking for someone to appraise cabinets for a donation to charity. I asked for multiple referrals, called multiple appraisal services, etc., and no one could help me. I found AppraiseItNow and from the moment I started working with them, they were wonderful! Joe guided me on what I needed to send him, what needed to be done and stayed in touch with me the entire time. Their customer service is OUTSTANDING and a welcome surprise in today’s world where good customer service is an anomaly! They returned an appraisal in a timely manner, it was clear, concise, cost-effective and exactly what I needed. They followed up with me multiple times to ensure that I received it and everything was OK. My CPA is also thrilled to have them as an accredited appraisal service he can use for other clients. I rarely leave reviews, but I could not pass giving them 5 stars and I’d give 10 if possible! THANK YOU JOE AND ALL AT APPRAISEITNOW!!👊🏼

  • I've dealt with several appraisers, and this was my first time using AppraiseItNow. They were by far the best. They did a great job. Their process was honest, efficient, and very detailed. Their staff was highly credentialed, and they provided IRS-compliant guidelines in their evaluation process, which was exactly what we were looking for. Their customer service also had prompt response times and was a pleasure to work with. If I need this service again, I won't go anywhere else.

Personal Property Appraisal for Charitable Donation

  • My wife and I purchased a property that included a double-wide mobile home, which we decided to donate to a local charitable organization that provides housing for low-income families. This type of donation required a formal appraisal to qualify for an IRS tax deduction, so we reached out to Appraise It Now. From the start, they were able to clearly answer all of our questions about both the appraisal process and the tax deduction requirements. We provided photos and additional details, and within 10 days we received a thorough, well-prepared report that included all the necessary IRS forms. I’m giving Appraise It Now a five-star review because communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Everyone I spoke with was helpful, friendly, and professional, and emails were always answered quickly. We were completely satisfied with the experience. Thank you!

Mobile Home Appraisal for Charitable Donation

  • I recommend AppraiseItNow Inc. highly. I needed an appraisal of fair market value for geologic laboratory equipment for charitable donations to three universities. The unique items and limited secondary market complicated the valuation. They provided a sound, verifiable estimate and the 8283 forms that I was able to use in my tax filings. I would use them again.

It’s clear that they take pride in their work and genuinely care about providing high-quality service. Kansas FAQ

Who values personal property for Kansas tax rolls?

The county appraiser. Owners list their tangible personal property with the county appraiser by March 15 (oil and gas property by April 1), and the appraiser classifies and values it using the Department of Revenue's Personal Property Valuation Guide. A late listing draws a filing penalty applied to assessed value. An independent appraisal is not part of that process, but it is what you bring when the guide value and the market disagree.

Can a Kansas rendition deadline be extended?

Yes. The county appraiser must grant an extension when the owner asks in writing on or before March 15 and states just and adequate reasons. If the extended deadline is then missed, penalties run from March 15, not from the extended date.

Does Kansas license personal property appraisers?

No. Kansas licenses appraisers of real property only, and there is no state license, exam, or education requirement for appraising equipment, vehicles, household contents, or art. Our appraisers work to USPAP and hold credentials with organizations such as ASA, ISA, and NEBB (CMEA).
