AppraiseItNow appraises the household goods and firearms in Indiana estates, the motorcycles, cars, and boats behind an insurance or damage claim, the equipment Indiana businesses report on Form 103 by May 15, and the business interests spouses divide or parents give away. Indiana has had no inheritance tax for deaths after December 31, 2012 and no estate tax, so a date-of-death appraisal here serves the probate inventory, due two months after the personal representative's appointment, the federal return where one is required, and the heirs' basis. In a divorce the marital pot closes when the petition is filed, so which assets are on the table is settled early, and their values must be documented as of a date the court accepts.
Most reports are completed online from photographs and documents you upload; onsite inspection is available statewide for full-house estates, plant and farm equipment, and collections where condition drives value. Fees are fixed and quoted before work begins, and when a May 15 filing, an inventory deadline, or a hearing is set, we confirm up front whether we can meet it.
