I was in dire need of an appraisal for my father's mobile home, which he needed for Medicaid approval. I couldn’t find anyone to do it for a long time, but then I found this company online and decided to give them a try. I’m so glad I did. They were wonderful to work with. I sent the pictures, and within just a few days I received the appraisal. They are absolutely worth the money.

The appraisal was done very well. Since he was a local artist here in Charleston, SC, they took the time to study and review Jim Booth’s art. His work has made him extremely famous, which can make an appraisal challenging, but they did a superb job and clearly explained how they arrived at the appraisal value. I highly recommend Appraise It Now and will use them again for all my artwork.

These guys were phenomenal. Joe was very responsive and gave clear instructions on how to submit my information for the appraisal, which he completed in a very quick timeframe. The appraisal itself was extremely detailed and included a thorough explanation of how they arrived at the value. It came with extensive documentation, and it’s clear they did a significant amount of research. They were also very responsive through text and email and always available to answer any questions. I had them appraise my fifth-wheel RV for resale, and I highly recommend their services. I will definitely use them again.

It is a pleasure to work with Joe and his team. They communicate every step along the way and made the process simple for us to have more than 35 firearms appraised. It was all done in a timely manner and the final report is easy to understand. I highly recommend their services.

I was very happy with the work put in on my totaled car appraisal. They did the appraisal quickly and VERY thoroughly. I felt like my insurance company gave a very low appraisal and Appraise It Now was very competitive, realistic and true to my expectations. The best part was they did a stellar job negotiating with my insurance company. I feel great about their work.

I was very pleased with the service from AppraiseItNow. They responded quickly, offered fair pricing and turnaround, and the appraisal was done by a highly qualified expert. I provided details, photos, and records, and the final report was exactly what I needed. Fantastic service. I’d definitely use them again.

Very thorough and professional — great communication and outstanding service. Highly impressed with their work!

AppraiseItNow Inc. is the best company I was lucky to find by accident. I was looking for someone to appraise cabinets for a donation to charity. I asked for multiple referrals, called multiple appraisal services, etc., and no one could help me. I found AppraiseItNow and from the moment I started working with them, they were wonderful! Joe guided me on what I needed to send him, what needed to be done and stayed in touch with me the entire time. Their customer service is OUTSTANDING and a welcome surprise in today’s world where good customer service is an anomaly! They returned an appraisal in a timely manner, it was clear, concise, cost-effective and exactly what I needed. They followed up with me multiple times to ensure that I received it and everything was OK. My CPA is also thrilled to have them as an accredited appraisal service he can use for other clients. I rarely leave reviews, but I could not pass giving them 5 stars and I’d give 10 if possible! THANK YOU JOE AND ALL AT APPRAISEITNOW!!👊🏼

We were amazed at their professionalism in working with us and the quality of the final appraisal report. And all for thousands less than other appraisers.

I asked AppraiseItNow to value a piece of sports memorabilia for purposes of a charitable donation. The item is rarely sold. Their research unearthed an important recent sale of a similar item, which I had not found previously, and which the first appraiser I used had not found either. AppraiseItNow was a good deal more expensive than the first service, but they crafted a detailed report in which I have much more confidence. They also helped me make sure the correct tax forms are used. Thank you!

What is an Intangible Assets appraisal?

An intangible assets appraisal represents a sophisticated valuation methodology designed to quantify and assess non-physical business assets that generate economic value. These assets, unlike tangible equipment or real estate, encompass intellectual property, brand reputation, customer networks, proprietary technologies, and strategic relationships that contribute meaningfully to an organization's competitive positioning.

The valuation process requires specialized expertise to accurately determine the economic worth of these complex, often invisible assets. Professionals conducting these assessments utilize multiple analytical approaches, examining factors such as potential future earnings, market comparability, and distinctive competitive advantages inherent to the specific assets.

Comprehensive intangible asset appraisals serve critical functions across multiple business contexts. They provide essential insights during merger and acquisition negotiations, support financial reporting requirements, facilitate tax compliance strategies, and offer robust evidence in legal proceedings. By quantifying the intrinsic value of non-physical assets, organizations can develop more nuanced strategic planning and make more informed economic decisions.

The methodological complexity of these appraisals reflects the unique nature of intangible assets. Unlike standardized physical asset valuations, these assessments demand deep understanding of industry dynamics, technological innovations, market trends, and the specific strategic value embedded within an organization's intellectual capital.

Ultimately, an intangible assets appraisal transforms abstract organizational capabilities into measurable economic value, providing stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of a company's true worth beyond traditional balance sheet metrics.

What are the different types of Intangible Assets appraisals?

Intangible asset appraisers are specialized professionals who provide critical valuation services across diverse intellectual property domains. These experts bring deep analytical skills and industry-specific knowledge to assess non-physical assets that often represent substantial economic value for organizations.

Brand appraisers focus on evaluating trademark worth, market positioning, and brand equity. They meticulously analyze factors like consumer perception, historical performance, and potential future earnings to determine comprehensive brand value.

Patent appraisers concentrate on technology-driven intellectual property, examining technological innovation, market potential, competitive landscape, and remaining legal protection periods. Their assessments are crucial for technology firms, research institutions, and investors considering intellectual property transactions.

Copyright appraisers specialize in valuing creative works, including digital and traditional media. They assess commercial viability, licensing potential, and market relevance across various creative domains such as literature, software, music, and visual arts.

Goodwill appraisers evaluate the intrinsic reputation and relationship-based value a business has cultivated over time. Their expertise is particularly valuable during mergers, acquisitions, and strategic financial planning, helping organizations understand their intangible asset landscape.

Franchise appraisers analyze the economic potential of franchise systems, examining operational frameworks, brand strength, and scalability. They provide critical insights into the transferable value of franchise models and support strategic decision-making.

Customer database appraisers assess the monetary worth of customer information, evaluating data quality, engagement metrics, and potential revenue generation capabilities. Their work is increasingly important in data-driven business environments.

Each appraiser brings specialized knowledge, utilizing sophisticated valuation methodologies to quantify complex, non-physical assets that significantly contribute to organizational value.

Why get an Intangible Assets appraisal?

Understanding the critical role of intangible assets requires a nuanced approach to valuation. These non-physical assets—including intellectual property, brand reputation, and strategic relationships—represent substantial value that extends far beyond traditional tangible assets.

Financial reporting demands precise documentation of these assets. Companies must accurately represent their intangible value on balance sheets, particularly during significant business transitions like mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships. An objective valuation provides clarity and credibility in financial representations, ensuring stakeholders have a comprehensive view of the organization's total worth.

Tax implications represent another crucial consideration. When donating intangible assets exceeding specific monetary thresholds, businesses require formal appraisals to substantiate tax deductions and maintain regulatory compliance. This proactive approach mitigates potential audit risks and ensures transparent financial reporting.

Legal contexts frequently necessitate comprehensive asset valuations. During ownership disputes, infringement challenges, or litigation scenarios, an independent appraisal serves as authoritative evidence. These professional assessments provide objective insights that can decisively resolve complex legal disputes involving intellectual property and intangible assets.

Insurance protection represents another critical dimension of intangible asset valuation. Accurate appraisals enable businesses to secure appropriate coverage, protecting against potential losses that could significantly impact organizational stability. By understanding the precise value of these assets, companies can develop robust risk management strategies.

Strategic planning also benefits from rigorous intangible asset assessment. Buy-sell agreements, partnership negotiations, and business restructuring all rely on precise valuations to ensure equitable transactions and informed decision-making.

Ultimately, intangible asset appraisals transcend mere financial documentation. They represent a sophisticated approach to understanding and leveraging an organization's most complex and valuable resources.

Can an Intangible Assets appraisal be done online?

Online intangible assets appraisals have become a sophisticated and streamlined process in the digital era, offering professionals and businesses a convenient alternative to traditional in-person evaluations. Modern appraisal methodologies leverage advanced technological platforms to conduct comprehensive assessments remotely, ensuring high-quality and precise valuations.

The digital appraisal process typically involves a strategic collection of detailed documentation, including comprehensive financial records, proprietary information, photographs, and other relevant data submitted electronically. Experienced appraisers utilize these materials to conduct thorough and nuanced evaluations of intangible assets, maintaining the same rigorous standards applied in traditional appraisal settings.

Interactive digital platforms enable real-time communication through video conferencing tools, allowing appraisers to engage directly with clients, ask clarifying questions, and gather immediate insights. This dynamic approach ensures a collaborative and transparent assessment process that can accommodate complex valuation requirements across various industries.

Professional online appraisals adhere strictly to established industry standards, including the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), guaranteeing the integrity and reliability of the valuation. The digital format provides unprecedented accessibility, enabling businesses and individuals from diverse geographical locations to obtain expert appraisal services efficiently and effectively.

The technological evolution of intangible asset appraisals represents a significant advancement in professional valuation practices, offering a flexible, comprehensive, and sophisticated approach that meets the demands of modern business environments.
