What is OLV and FLV?

OLV stands for orderly liquidation value, the estimated price an asset could bring in a planned liquidation over a reasonable time frame, with proper marketing and some, but not extreme, pressure to sell. FLV stands for forced liquidation value, which is the amount expected when assets must be sold very quickly, usually at auction, with strong time pressure and limited marketing. FLV is generally the lowest value premise, reflecting distress and urgency, while OLV is a middle ground between fair market value (no compulsion to sell) and forced liquidation (maximum compulsion).
